About Me

Since 1997 I have been on a journey of discovery regarding my interest in Intentional Communities. Together with my husband (since divorced) and two young children, we ventured out from the UK. We started our voyage, our first base Africa, Ghana. A spell on the island of Bermuda, then two years in America before finally reaching Jamaica where we were donated a small plot of land in which to experiment what we had thus learned. For the most part we lived almost off grid becoming more confident each day in what we were practising while living off the land. Living as self-sufficient as we could. Due to lack of external resources to support our efforts alongside other personal challenges; it all fell apart after 4 years. Currently, I am a 56 year Black woman who still yearns for this type of conscious, creative lifestyle. I have not given up on my vision to live in oneness and abundance with my tribe of choice. Instead over the years while I cared for my daughters, I also kept up-skilling myself and have initiated a number of international projects to keep the flame alive. It is so refreshing to see new seeds beginning to blossom since the time I began to sow… Having recently discovered BIPOC Intentional Community Council is a gem…and may I too find and/or create a place that resonates with the sound of a beautiful new earth emerging…
