Wakan Tipi Awanyankapi focuses on land stewardship and restoration as well as cultural and environmental education. We operate on the traditional Dakota homelands of St Paul and steward the sacred site of Wakan Tipi cave, Indian Mounds Cemetery, and the restoration efforts of Phalen Creek. Our education programs range from plant education to birding and site history, as well as cultural opportunities for Dakota and other indigenous people to connect with.
